Mazda RX-7 [FD3S] Titanium Strut Tower Bars...
We are in the final phase of a couple other projects so that means - TIME FOR A NEW ONE! Well, TWO actually. We have two new titanium strut bars for the Mazda RX-7 FD3S in the prototype phase. One is OEMish (Type-A), the other is made for guys with motor swaps in mind (Type-B).TYPE-A Type-A as it's being called is an "OEM Style" strut bar. Basically, this is a re-imagined version of the R1/R2 strut bar, complete with RX-7 badge. It weighs in right around 2 pounds and will be available in burnt or sandblasted finish.TYPE-B Type-B as it's...
The New Gazoo Racing Toyota Supra [MKV / A90]
So I've been just like you guys, trying to keep up on "the worst kept secret in the industry" as Akio Toyoda put it in the NAIAS reveal. But, its here. The new Toyota Supra MKV / A90 bearing the Gazoo Racing badge (which pays homage to the LeMans winning TS050) is a reality. Initial responses have been... mixed. There is a TON of hate for this vehicle being a rebadged BMW Z4 (Z5?) since it's drivetrain, seemingly chassis and even some interior are BMW sourced. Not to mention, it will be assembled in Graz, Austria. But it seems to...
Mazda RX-7 [FD3S] Titanium Tow Hooks! Part 2...
So we're making progress on the titanium tow hook set for the Mazda RX-7 [FD3S]. Titanium came in, was cut, CNCd, bent, polished and burnt (also media blasted for the non-burnt look). The front tow hook should work with OEM USDM front ends, JDM 99Spec front ends and most aftermarket fronts ends - but obviously we haven't tested all of them... so please make sure to do your research to see if it will fit! The rear will replace the OEM tie down bracket (which is discontinued by the way) and fit with OEM rear bumpers and some aftermarket diffusers. ...
Mazda RX-7 [FD3S] Titanium Tow Hook?
So we've been toying with the idea of making a set of titanium tow hooks for the Mazda RX-7 [FD3S]. The issue is, there are a couple options for tow hooks that mount to the factory rear tie down bracket - BUT - those rear tie down brackets are discontinued from Mazda and therefore all those cool tow hooks are sitting in part bins with nowhere to go. This solution uses the mounting points for the OEM rear tie down bracket BUT extends further down so a tow strap can be connected. Oh, it's ALSO titanium and ALSO looks bad...
Mazda RX-7 [FD3S] Stronger Camber Bolts?
Always looking for new products to produce, we were recently contacted by a professional drifter we work with (Hi @thisisthewolf) to take on a challenge he's been having with the alignment on his Mazda RX-7 [FD3S]. The issue is, from the factory the Mazda RX-7 [FD3S] is equipped with a total of six adjustable camber bolts (four up front, two in the rear). For most cars, these do the trick. But for cars that see more aggressive driving, such as auto cross, road race and of course, drifting - the threads on the bolt/nut stretch and the washers wear out...
