Mazda RX-7 [FD3S] Carbon Fiber Engine Cover

The Carbon Fiber Engine Cover for the Mazda RX-7 [FD3S] has been one of the most elusive pieces for what feels like decades.  Protoypes that never saw the light of day.  Production versions that came and went.  But nothing has ever been offered for LHD and RHD vehicles AND compatible with most motor swaps - UNTIL NOW!

This pet project has been a dream for years and a journey for months.  We started with a 3D scan on the engine bay, before turning that into CAD, testing various 3D prints and eventually making a mold to lay carbon.

Our design is compatible with LHD and RHD vehicles and thanks to it's three piece design, is also compatible with most motor swaps such as LSX, 2JZ and 20B.  You even retain your OEM weather stripping by removing the locator pegs and reattaching with double sided tape (not included). Additionally, we include rubber and stainless steel rings to protect both the chassis and engine cover from damage. 

Although this piece is bolt on - some minor trimming may be required for an ideal fit.  This trimming is limited to widening the holes on the shock tower to allow for precise adjustments based on your vehicles needs.  If you are not comfortable with this, please seek the help of a skilled body shop.

Every Carbon Fiber Windshield Cowl for the 1993-2002 Mazda RX-7 [FD3S] is offered in one of four awesome carbon weaves; 3K Plain (1x1), Twill (2x2), Forged and Honeycomb. We also have a handful of special order weaves, so feel free to reach out if you are after something specific.
